Blues snatch the win
For the first time in its history the Cruise Challenge rocked up in Exeter for what proved to be a very memorable evening in more ways than one.
More than 50 agents joined the battle for cruise supremacy and the competition did not disappoint; at one stage the three teams – Blue, Green and Red – were all level on 13 points each. Alas, such close gameplay only served to rachet up the tension.
Following some very hearty karaoke renditions of YMCA and Summer of 69 (other popular songs are also available), the game entered the double points round, at which point the Blue team took control and soon opened up a healthy lead.
However, back came the Red team, closing to within a solitary point on the final question of the evening. Close, but no cigar. As for the Green contingent, they ended the event on a respectable 18.

History made in Bournemouth
The second part of the Cruise Challenge double header saw history made in a very humid Bournemouth.
These events are famed for their audience interaction, but never has the Cruise Challenge witnessed a three-way tie, on the buzzer, during the double points round. But, as they say, there’s a first time for everything.
As the pressure built and nerves jangled, wrong answers were forthcoming, leaving all three teams level on 22 points. However, there’s always a winning team at this event, and the Green team emerged victorious on a sudden death question against their Red opponents.
Match recap:
Winning team: Green
Final score: Green – 28; Red – 26; Blue – 22
