Reds take the title
There’s a humdinger of a battle going on at the top of the table. The folks in red are straining every sinew to bring home the title.
No, it’s not the battle to be crowned Premier League champions but rather the infinitely more important Liverpool edition of the Cruise Challenge.
Dropping anchor at the Adelphi Hotel in the city centre, three teams of travel agents were entertained by the wonderful sponsors for the evening – Cruise & Maritime Voyages, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines and Regent Seven Seas Cruises – before going hammer and tong for the coveted Cruise Challenge winner certificate and the chance to win a very special prize at the end of the year.
As ever, the unique format of the gameshow ensured plenty of audience interaction, as agents found their inner diva persona to proudly sing a range of hits such as Mamma Mia (always a favourite) and Sex Bomb – again, another classic that never fails to deliver.
As the game reached the eagerly anticipated double points round, the score was evenly balanced (another similarity with the Premier League race). However, there’s no such thing as a draw in the Cruise Challenge and it was the Red team that eventually took the title. Well played indeed.
